Welcome to the 9th Rencontres R 2023

The Rencontres R, supported by la Société Française de Statistique (SFdS), aim to offer to the French-speaking community a place to discuss and share ideas on the use of R language in all disciplines.

The 2023 edition is co-organized by INRAE and Avignon University. It is aimed at beginners as well as confirmed and experienced users from all sectors of activity.

Reminder of important dates :

Registration

- opening of registrations: January 9, 2023
- registration closes: June 7, 2023
- prices:

Standard fee : 126 euros, from May 5 11 increased fee : 180 euros
Reduced fee  : 90 euros,

A tutorial/workshop session, lunches on June 21, 22 and 23 as well as the gala evening are included in the registration fee.

Note that the registration is mandatory for all the participants of Rencontres R.

All participants (including attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers) at Rencontres R 2023 are required to agree to the code of conduct. 

Submission (Abstract)

- opening of submissions: January 9, 2023
- closing of submissions: April 3, 2023 April 10 2023
- answers: before May 3, 2023

Feel free to submit a poster, a short presentation (3-5min) or a long presentation (20-30 min).

Abstracts must be submitted in PDF format (one or two-page summary for all types of communication) using one of the templates provided (available formats: Rmarkdown, LaTeX, Word, Open Office).

Practical details :

The Rencontres R will take place at Avignon University, on the Hannah Arendt campus (downtown) from June 21 to 23, 2023.

The first half-day (Wednesday 21 morning) will be devoted to tutorials, followed by half-day plenary sessions to conclude on Friday 23 June at 12 noon.

The workshops will take place simultaneously on Wednesday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will be limited in number of places.

[TUTORIALS INFORMATION] There is no more places for tutorials "tidymodels: Create a complete machine learning pipeline with {tidymodels}" and "Statspatial : Spatial Analysis and Cartography with R". The next registrations for this tutorial in choice 1 will automatically be assigned the "Quarto : Publishing a document with Quarto". Thank you for your understanding.
